The Sustainable Urban Mobility Network (SUM Net) has published a set of 14 posters, with each poster focusing on an aspect of the National Urban Transport Policy. The poster series was conceptualised with a need to present the principles of sustainable transportation given in the policy in a simple, understandable style, with the help of facts, examples and photographs. A calendar for the year 2014 has also been designed and distributed with the same theme this year.

These posters were displayed at the Urban Mobility Conference, held in New Delhi in December 2013.

Parisar recently concluded a workshop as part of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Network, held on 26th and 27th October 2013 at Centre for Development Studies and Activities, Pune.

Parisar hosted a workshop to bring about an interaction between various stakeholders involved in making the city bicycle friendly. The event was held on 28^th March, 2013 at Indradhanushya Centre for Citizenship and Environmental Education, inviting people from other NGOs, political representatives as well as officials from the corporation. Around 35 people attended this workshop, mostly members from other NGOs, but some political representatives attended the event as well. Rajendra Ravi, a social activist from New Delhi, who has been working on the issue of cycle rickshaws had been invited as the guest speaker for the event.

Parisar recently completed an outreach project in Pimpri Chinchwad to bring about more awareness about the Bus Rapid Transit system which will be introduced in Pimpri Chinchwad shortly. Pimpri Chinchwad is a part of the Pune metropolitan region, but functions under an autonomous municipal corporation.

Pimpri Chinchwad has a unique pattern of its own, largely an industrial area, evolving into a residential city. On account of it being in its earlier stages of residential development, it has much more scope to introduce new concepts of sustainable transport in the city with much less inhibition than its counterpart, Pune. Introducing the Bus Rapid Transit system in Pimpri Chinchwad runs on the lines of the same principle, to promote growth and sustainable transport at the same time.
