Position Description
The Project Associate will work under the supervision of the Program Director, implementing Parisar’s activities under the 'Enhancing Sustainable Mobility: Modal Shift, Scoring Systems, and Civic Engagement' project, with a focus on analysing the accessibility of different modes of mobility in the city.
This role is based in Pune and candidates will be conducting audits and surveys, writing reports, making presentations to government officials and communities when required.

Length of employment
Full-time position, 12 months contract, with the option to renew beyond.
About you
The ideal candidate will have prior and sound experience working in an NGO or company focused on sustainability, or environment and will be comfortable in an interdisciplinary and diverse NGO environment that works in partnership and collaboration with different stakeholders. You are a flexible and adaptable team-player. Knowledge and /or work experience in the field of sustainable mobility will be an additional qualification.
You have excellent campaign and advocacy skills. You have expertise in making and giving presentations. You are fluent in English and Marathi / Hindi and are able to communicate concepts clearly to different categories of stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Urban Planning/ Architecture/ M Sc Geography or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in the development sector.
- Computer skills including MS Office, G Suite, etc.
- Mapping and analysing data for the project using appropriate tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad understanding of sustainable development and mobility.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Hindi / Marathi.
- Organizing successful stakeholder engagement meetings, conferences, as well as public events.
- Report writing
- Experience with organizations working on sustainable mobility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting Parisar in the overall management and implementation of the ' Enhancing Sustainable Mobility: Modal Shift, Scoring Systems, and Civic Engagement ' project.
- Mapping and analysing data for the project using appropriate tools
- Responsible for overall monitoring and reporting progress of the project to the senior management, funders and the public in general.
- Coordinating with Parisar team and external partners for development of appropriate communication materials, documents, advocacy briefs, and related materials to drive key project activities.
- Conceptualizing, strategizing and collectively devising advocacy action plans with different stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborating with network partners
- Developing relevant government, media and sectoral partnerships to facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment.
- Ensuring accurate and timely management of the funds and track budget utilization with support from the Finance team
- Setting up contracts and developing contract schedules in conjunction with associates, volunteers and partners.
- Collaborating with the Parisar team during city-based and organizational events and important campaign and advocacy activations.
- Writing articles for Parisar website and newsletter.
- Supporting capacity building activities and being part of them as and when required.
- Any other duties in line with the job role as requested by the Program Director.

Compensation
Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 58,000/- per month depend on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
