I have always gravitated towards the humanities, without a very clear idea of what a vocation in it could look like. After pursuing Bachelors in Psychology, I got a chance to manifest this through a volunteering opportunity with Parisar while studying. The spontaneous volunteering opportunity turned into a longer association, opening up a very niche world of sustainable urban mobility for me. My first project at Parisar was developing a School Cycling Kit and conducting sessions for school children to understand what cycling meant environmentally, socially and in terms of design.
Over the years, the gamut of projects and tasks widened, with a deeper understanding of how much mobility influences the liveability of our cities. Over the years, what has become evident to me is that while at Parisar we focus on systemic, data driven change and that is one of our core values, what really matters is the authenticity of our efforts, which has been consistent since inception. The conviction that what we do is crucial for increasing the quality of life in our cities ensures that our efforts are adaptive/ flexible, constant, and meaningful.
I focus on public transport, cycling, walking and air quality.
Apart from work, I like to walk around the city, cook and read.
