Born and raised in Mumbai, I have always been fascinated by urban dynamics and how cities shape human lives. My journey toward finding my true calling led me from a degree in Commerce to pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW). This pivotal transition grounded me, shifting my perspective from a world of imagination to the nuances of harsh societal realities.

Witnessing gender-based disparities in my immediate surroundings fueled a deep desire to work directly with people, specifically focusing on gender equity. Upon completing my master's degree, I dedicated my career to these critical areas. I began my professional journey advocating for the rights and well-being of the transgender community. Subsequently, I transitioned to grassroots interventions aimed at mitigating domestic violence against women and addressing complex legal cases under Section 376 in Pune.

Joining Parisar broadened my horizons, allowing me to view sustainable urban mobility through a distinct gender lens. Currently, I am driving a project that focuses on non-motorized and public transit solutions—specifically walking, cycling, and public transport infrastructure—alongside the rejuvenation of Pune’s core city areas. My goal is to continue intersectional work that creates safe, accessible, and inclusive urban spaces for everyone.

If I am not working, I'm always moving — whether it's dancing, exploring mountains and beaches, or absorbing the vibrant warmth of the city.
